Kasukerii Birthday Illustration Redo

I'm going to start off by saying that I think this is my first critique.
Anyway, the anatomy is mostly correct as far as I can tell; despite a seemingly misplaced left ear, this is undoubtedly a well drawn piece of art.
The shading is very nice, especially on the skin and clothing, but may lack a small amount of lustre. I apologise if this is just my view influenced by my own style, but I feel like some more luminous, more saturated colours would go a long way in representing the atmospheric lighting. This could be down to drawing style, but one might prefer more lustrous eyes and textured hair.
I'd also like to mention the background: ignoring my hypocrisy in saying this, but there isn't much of a background, and just a drop shadow would have made the character pop out a little more, and even a pale colour instead of pure white could have upped the impact.

Finally, I can safely say that I would prefer some slightly neater linework, (although the lines themselves are positioned very well) and maybe some flow on the hair, but this is a great original character (I believe) and an undeniable unique style.
